Non Covered and Demand/Gap billing for Medicare Demonstration Project

Dear Client,

Enclosed are updated versions of the UB92 Non-Covered Admissions program [GM, 8, 3, 3, 3], the UB92 Demand /Gap Billing program [GM, 8, 3, 3, 5] and the Post Individual Charges program [GM, 8, 2, 5]. These update are required by facilities participating in the Medicare Demonstration project. All clients, even those not participating in the Medicare Demonstration project, should load the enclosed diskettes.

Medicare Demonstration Revenue Codes on UB92 Non-Covered and Gap/Demand Bills

When submitting Non-Covered UB92 bills, revenue codes 9000 - 9044 are now required to be used by facilities participating in the Medicare Demonstration project. To select a revenue code for printing on the UB92 Non-Covered Admissions program or the UB92 Demand / Gap billing programs either

a) Use the UB92INFO [GM, 8, 2, 7] program to indicate the specific revenue code for a resident, or

b) Fill in the field labeled 'Rugs III Revenue Code' when printing UB92 Non-Covered Admission bills or UB92 Demand / Gap bills.
