MODULE: PR PROGRAM: UN1199 AUTHOR: NS/HZ DATE: May 8, 2002
Important:
1. There is now a new program for producing the Local 1199 reports. This new program is run by typing UN1199 or [PR, 4, 3]. Before running the UN1199 program make sure to read the following instructions and perform the required set-up.
2. The ACCUMWRK program now contains a new question N/S on each of the hourly payment lines. If a scheduled employee works a non-scheduled shift you may type N alongside the hourly pay to indicate that it is non-slotted. By typing N, the pay will not be included in the union report when calculating benefits.
Overview:
Currently there are four (4) funds that CHARTS supports: 1) Welfare, 2) Pension, 3) Education, and 4) Other.
Until July 2001 the amount to be contributed to each fund could be adjusted based on options in the Department Table File either by percent or frozen base.
The adjustments continue to be phased out as follows:
July 2001 - Welfare
April 2002 - Pension
May 2002 - Education
In addition, two (2) new funds will be created:
September 2002 - Child Care
October 2002 - Job Security
Also, effective May 2002, contributions must be made for part-times who are slotted (scheduled) to work 1 to 2 days a week.
Please note that the 1199 Union Report will include (in the Pension Fund column) on-call employees with 850 work hours a year.

Optional Set-up:
The amount indicated on the Union Report for contribution can now be adjusted to exclude the pay that is based on the overtime factor. For example:
An employee works 10 overtime hours
His hourly rate of pay is $15 per hour.
His overtime factor is 1.5.
His pay would be 10 (hours) x $15 (per hour) x 1.5 (overtime factor) = $225
The Union Report can now optionally be adjusted to report only 10 (hours) x $15 (per hour) = $150. To use this option do the following:
At Enter Menu Number type NHOP2 or [UP, 13] and press ENTER.
At option 36, Process Union Pay type Y and press ENTER.
